Thailand initiates the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on stainless pipes involving China
On September 16, 2021, the Thai Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement stating that the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation was initiated on stainless pipes originating in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan in response to the application of domestic companies in Thailand. The products of this investigation are stainless pipes with a diameter of no more than 508 mm, hot-rolled and cold-rolled.

Stakeholders should apply for a questionnaire to participate in the investigation within 15 days of the announcement, and submit case comments and evidence materials within 30 days.
Anti-dumping investigation history
On September 17, 2015, Thailand initiated an anti-dumping investigation against stainless steel pipes originating in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan. On September 17, 2016, Thailand made an affirmative final ruling on anti-dumping in the case and decided to impose a five-year anti-dumping duty on the products involved in the above-mentioned countries and regions based on CIF (CIF), with a tax rate of 145.31% and mainland China respectively. South Korea 11.96～51.53%, Vietnam 310.74%, China Taiwan area 2.38%～29.04%, valid until September 16, 2021.
