The disadvantages of this series of materials are: less than 18% of the chromium content and the low nickel content do not balance the formation of ferrite, for which the chromium content in the 200 series stainless steel is reduced to 13.5% to 15%, some The situation dropped to 13% to 14%,

and its corrosion resistance could not be compared with 304 and other similar steels.

In addition, manganese, and in some cases copper, reduce the effect of repassivation under the acidic conditions common in the corrosion sites of the deposition zone and crevices.
