Application of Inconel Nickel Based Alloys
Inconel Alloys based on nickel and chrome have excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance, making them very attractive. Five industry applications for INCONEL alloy are briefly presented below.
Aerospace Engines and Aircraft
Nickel alloys are an option in the aerospace industry. Engine parts are mainly exposed to high temperatures and high pressure. A useful compound in this area is INCONEL Nickel Alloy C-276, which has good resistance to corrosion in these areas. The high content of molybdenum (15-17%) makes this mixture resistant to rust and rust. It also retains low carbon content and reduces carbide rainfall during welding to ensure that rust resistance is maintained in the weldment.
INCONEL alloy has many applications for seawater. For example on marine platforms or power plants and medicinal plants that use seawater as a coolant. Seawater systems are the most destructive areas, but materials that should not be degraded under these conditions should be used.
