Recently, the group standard “Stainless Steel Industry Standards for Construction of Demonstration Units for Integrity Management” led by the Guangdong Stainless Steel Materials and Products Association has been officially released.
It is reported that the “Stainless Steel Industry Standards for Construction of Demonstration Units for Integrity Management” was released on September 30, 2021, and will be formally implemented on October 29, 2021. This is the first group standard specially compiled for integrity management in the domestic stainless steel industry. It fills the gaps in industry-related standards and will provide a practical reference for the integrity construction of the stainless steel industry in Guangdong and the whole country and the credit supervision work of relevant government departments.

Lin Zeyu, executive chairman and party branch secretary of Guangdong Stainless Steel Materials and Products Association, said that in recent years, the order of business transactions in the stainless steel market has become more disorderly than in the past, especially since this year, some upstream steel mills have used their resource allocation advantages to arbitrarily breach contracts. Market transactions are chaotic, and various dishonest operations have severely damaged the fair and orderly operating environment of the stainless steel market. To this end, the Association has taken the lead in organizing the formulation of standards for industry integrity management in due course.
It is understood that in addition to stainless steel cold rolled, pipe, plate brand enterprises, and local stainless steel product associations, the participating units of this standard prepared by the Guangdong Stainless Steel Materials and Products Association also have standards, quality, credit, and other related institutions and organizations. The association has a certain degree of representativeness, professionalism, and extensiveness.
The determination of the management elements and the compilation of the content in the group standard of the “Standards for the Construction of Demonstration Units of Integrity Operation in the Stainless Steel Industry” combine the status quo and needs of the integrity management of the stainless steel industry. This standard stipulates the terms and definitions, purpose and function, management system and basic operation requirements, integrity rules, etc. of the basic concepts of the integrity management demonstration enterprise.

This is also the first group standard for the use and management of collective trademarks in the stainless steel industry.
