On January 15, 2021, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued an announcement stating that it will make a positive final anti-subsidy ruling on flat rolled products of stainless steel originating in or imported from Indonesia. The countervailing duty will be levied on October 9, at a rate of 18.83% to 24% of CIF (CIF). The validity period is 5 years. This case mainly involved products under the Indian customs codes 7219 and 7220. Blade-grade steel for the production of razors, stainless steel for coin billets (customs code 73269099), and stainless steel flat products with a width greater than 1650 mm and a thickness greater than 80 mm are not applicable to the anti-dumping measures in this case.
