316Ti cold rolled stainless steel coil is a titanium-stabilized austenitic grade (UNS S31635 / EN 1.4571) designed for high-temperature service. The addition of titanium (Ti ≥ 5×(C+N)) carbide-stabilizes the microstructure, preventing sensitization during prolonged exposure to temperatures between 425°C and 815°C.
Huaxiao Metal supplies 316Ti cold rolled coil in thicknesses from 0.2mm to 4.0mm, widths from 600mm to 1,500mm, and surface finishes including 2B, BA, and No.4. Description of 316Ti Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Coil
What is 316ti Titanium Stainless Steel?
316Ti stainless steel is a kind of steel plate, and Ti is added to SUS316 steel to improve the resistance to intergranular corrosion. Applied to equipment resistant to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and acetic acid.
Because of the different uses of each product, the processing technology, and raw material quality requirements are also different. In general, for different stainless steel products, the requirements of raw material thickness tolerances are also different, as the second category of tableware and insulation cups, thickness tolerances generally require a higher, -3 ~ 5%, and a set of tableware thickness tolerance general requirements – 5%, steel pipe requirements -10%, hotel refrigerator freezer material thickness tolerance requirement is -8%, the dealer’s thickness tolerance requirements are generally between -4% to 6%.
At the same time, the difference in the internal and external sales of the product will also lead to different requirements for the raw material thickness tolerance. The thickness tolerances of general export products customers are relatively high. In contrast, the thickness tolerance requirements of domestic sales companies are relatively low (primarily due to cost considerations), and some customers even require -15%.
316Ti stainless steel coil is an expensive material, but customers have very high surface quality requirements. The stainless steel sheet inevitably produces various defects during the production process, such as scratches, pitting, sand holes, dark lines, creases, and contamination, so the surface quality, such as scratches, creases, etc., are high-quality materials. It is not allowed. The pits, holes, and holes are not allowed in spoons, spoons, and forks. It isn’t easy to throw them away during polishing. The level of table quality needs to be determined according to the degree and frequency of various defects on the surface to determine the product level.
316 VS 316L VS 316Ti Stainless Steel
316, 316L, and 316Ti are three different grades of stainless steel, each with its own unique properties and applications. They are all part of the 300 series of stainless steels, which are known for their corrosion resistance and versatility. Here’s a brief overview of each grade:
- 316 Stainless Steel: This is a widely used stainless steel grade, also known as Grade 316 or UNS S31600. It contains about 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum, and small amounts of other elements. 316 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, making it suitable for various applications, including marine, chemical, and industrial equipment.
- 316L Stainless Steel: 316L is a low-carbon variant of 316 stainless steel, often referred to as Grade 316L or UNS S31603. The “L” stands for low carbon, indicating that it contains less carbon than standard 316 steel. This reduction in carbon content helps to minimize sensitization, making 316L less susceptible to corrosion in certain conditions, especially when welded. It is commonly used in applications where welding is required, such as in the production of pipes, fittings, and tanks.
- 316Ti Stainless Steel: 316Ti, also known as Grade 316Ti or UNS S31635, is a titanium-stabilized version of 316 stainless steel. It contains small amounts of titanium (around 0.5-1.5%) in addition to its standard alloying elements. The presence of titanium helps prevent sensitization and intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures, making 316Ti suitable for high-temperature applications. It is commonly used in environments where exposure to elevated temperatures or aggressive chemicals is a concern.
In summary:
- 316 stainless steel is the standard grade with good corrosion resistance.
- 316L stainless steel is the low-carbon variant with enhanced weldability and reduced sensitivity to corrosion after welding.
- 316Ti stainless steel is titanium-stabilized for improved performance in high-temperature and aggressive chemical environments.
The choice between these grades depends on the specific requirements of your application, including factors like corrosion resistance, weldability, and temperature conditions.

FAQ - 316Ti Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Coil
What is the difference between 316 and 316Ti?
316Ti contains titanium to prevent intergranular corrosion in high-temperature environments, making it superior for heat exchangers and chemical equipment.
Is 316Ti magnetic after cold rolling?
Like all austenitic grades, 316Ti is non-magnetic in the annealed state. However, slight magnetism may occur after cold rolling due to martensite transformation. Huaxiao can provide additional annealing if non-magnetic properties are critical.
Can 316Ti be welded easily?
Yes, 316Ti has excellent weldability. Because of the Titanium stabilization, it does not require post-weld annealing to maintain corrosion resistance in the heat-affected zone.
Is 316Ti better than 316L?
316Ti is preferred in high-temperature applications; 316L is better for general corrosion resistance but less stable at high heat.
What is 1.4571 stainless steel?
1.4571 is the European standard designation for 316Ti stainless steel.
What is the lead time for 316Ti coils?
We maintain a regular stock of standard sizes (1000mm, 1219mm, 1500mm width) for immediate shipment. Custom slitting or special tempers usually take 15-20 days.
What thickness and width are available for 316Ti cold rolled coil?
We supply 316Ti cold rolled coil in thicknesses from 0.2mm to 4.0mm and widths from 600mm to 1,500mm. Standard widths include 1,000mm, 1,219mm, 1,250mm, and 1,500mm. Custom widths are available through our slitting service — minimum slit width is 30mm. Thickness tolerances comply with ASTM A480M (see the Available Sizes & Tolerances table above for detailed tolerance data).
Do you provide EN 10204 3.1 MTC with 316Ti coils?
Yes. Every shipment includes an EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificate at no additional cost. The MTC contains heat number, actual chemical composition values (including Ti and N verification), mechanical property test results, and dimensional inspection data. For third-party verification, EN 10204 3.2 MTC certified by SGS, BV, or TÜV is available on request. REACH and RoHS compliance declarations are available for European buyers.
Do you provide stock?
Yes, Huaxiao Metal maintains ready stock for fast delivery worldwide.
