What is 310S/310 Stainless Steel?
310S/310 (UNS S31008/S31000) is a high chromium, medium nickel austenitic stainless steel designed for high temperature applications. Its high content of chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) gives it excellent resistance to oxidation, sulfidation, and the ability to maintain high strength at temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F). Compared with common 304 or 316 stainless steels, 310S has a qualitative leap in heat resistance.
