Australia makes final ruling on double-reverse exemption investigation on China-related precision steel pipes

According to China Trade Remedy Information Network, recently, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2022/072, saying that the Minister for Industry and Science of Australia passed the Australian Anti-dumping Commission’s decision on precision steel pipes imported from mainland China and South Korea ( Precision Pipe and Tube Steel) made a final recommendation on the anti-dumping exemption investigation, deciding that no anti-dumping duties should be imposed on chrome-plated steel pipes with an outer diameter of 16 mm and 19 mm in mainland China and South Korea, and an outer diameter of 16 mm and 19 mm in mainland China.

There is no countervailing duty for chrome-plated steel pipes in millimeters. The measure is effective from December 21, 2021.

On August 11, 2021, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2021/100 to terminate the anti-dumping investigation on the products involved in the Taiwan region of China and Vietnam, and also terminated the Vietnamese companies Chinh Dai Industrial Co., Ltd., Vina One Steel Manufacturing. Anti-subsidy investigation of all companies in Vietnam including corporations.

On September 28, 2021, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcements No. 2021/109 and 2021/110, stating that the Acting Minister of the Australian Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology approved the final anti-dumping ruling made by the Australian Anti-dumping Commission on precision steel pipes imported from mainland China and South Korea.

On February 8, 2022, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2022/011, stating that, in response to an application submitted by Emro Products Pty Ltd, an Australian domestic enterprise, an anti-dumping exemption investigation was launched on precision steel pipes imported from mainland China and South Korea, and a Steel Pipe launches countervailing waiver investigation. The Australian customs code for exempted products is 7306.30.00.
